The Flood
On Friday morning I woke up and I heard a big magnificent storm. First, I got dressed and I went into the dining room. I looked through the window and the rain was really heavy. My backyard was flooded. My ponds were flooded.  Our paddocks were flooded.  I saw the rushing gushing water flowing through the deck. I was feeling quite scared.  My mouth opened wide and I called out to my brothers and sister, “Come and see the flood!!!” 
Then I went into the lounge and there was water dripping from the ceiling.  So I ran to get a towel to mop up the mess.  My papa came home, and he said, “All of Kaikohe was flooded.”  He also said that some water was even in the shops.  After that I went into my room and I saw water dripping from the top of the roof crashing as it was going down to the deck. I felt alright because we were so lucky that it didn't come into our house.

On Friday it was my brother’s 21st birthday. His name is Denzel. We went to Valentines in Hamilton.
I was so excited I was clapping my hands and had a big smile on my face and I was jumping up and down.
First we drove all the way to Hamilton down to the Motel. I was so excited . Then my Mum went to the Motel too, to pick us up. We were going to my Mum and Dad’s house for the night.That night we got ready to go to the restaurant called Valentines .I was excited when we got there because  it looked so fancy. My mouth dropped down. We sat at a table and ordered our food. On the menu they had seafood ,dessert meat and crackers. I ate some prawns and oysters. They were so delicious. After That my Mum bought out my brother's birthday cake. It was a black forest cake. We sang the happy birthday song  to my brother . Then he cut the cake but we saved it to eat at Mum and Dad’s home.
I felt really happy because I saw all my whanau I thought really amazed.
